Nowadays, the sustainable development of the social and economic systems is ensured by a
variety of instruments used in operational and strategic management. The comprehensive
flexible systems that enable corporate management (in business companies of different sizes),
and the whole system management (at the micro-, meso- and macro- levels), including
multinational companies.
The participants will discuss the best practices and the latest theoretical management
concepts.1
Monetary Sphere and Banking Business: Crisis or New Wave?

At the moment the monetary sphere of Russia endures large-scale crisis, comparable with
consequences of Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy for the USA. Where do we move? Crisis or a
challenge to change our monetary paradigm?
We suggest you to take part in this discussion.

• systemic risks of the monetary sphere;
• credit activity in economy;
• banks and sources of investments in real sector to economy
• tendencies of bank regulation and supervision;

The growing influence of the environment, the impact of stakeholders on the
sustainability of economic entities is becoming urgent problem of assessing the sustainability of
organizations in a globalized economy. In connection with this within the section the approaches
to the definition of sustainable development organizations, a system of indicators, analysis of
sustainability reports in domestic and foreign practice will be considered.
Corporate Social Responsibility: New View

highest potential. The efficient resource use aimed at increasing the degree of convenience,
safety and quality of life in large cities requires the development of some new approaches to
management in order to ensure the sustainable development. The participants will address their
main questions to such fields as: managing major cities, large modern city infrastructure
management specifics, opportunities and prospects of development of a mechanism to attract
investment into innovative manufacturing, and IT aspects of today’s megalopolis management.

The sustainable development concept implies a fair approach to satisfying the needs of the
current generations without putting under threat the needs of future generations while balancing
the economic, social and environmental subsystems. This concept appeared in the late 20th
century. It has changed the way modern science looks at the world. Climate, demography,
economics, politics and the environment protection are seen as closely interrelated elements of a
single system, and the system evolution is non-linear. Such view allows to identify the global
challenges that will affect the lives of everyone, every business company and government in the
next 50 years and to raise interesting scientific issues.
