Privacy in WSNs
• Privacy in WSNs is mostly related to the social privacy

Tracking users without explicit consent
• However, an attacker might observe the network
performance to retrieve information about the network
itself and the data being collected

Sometimes this information is important (military),
sometimes not (weather)
• Traditional security mechanisms only protect the contents
of the packets from being eavesdropped
