The present simple tense describes regular activites and general truths.
In the present simple tense we add –s to the verb in the third person (He, She, It, John, Mary, the dog, etc...).
Exp: I get up at 8 every morning.

The present simple: -es endings

When a verb ends in –ss, -ch, -sh, -x or –o, we add –es to the 3rd person singular.

FREQUENCY ADVERBS
 Frequency adverbs are often used with present simple. They explain how often someone
does an action, or something happens.

 Note that the frequency adverb goes between the pronoun ( I, she, etc.) or person and the
verb. Other frequency adverbs are : seldom, hadly ever, occasionally, normally,
frequently.
 Freuqency adverbs always come after the verb ‘to be’:
Karen is usually late to work.
Sally is sometimes untidy.
John is always energetic.
