Conjugation of verb to want with the five singular pronouns together with using the classroom objects
Objectives:
1. Forming sentences with the classroom objects by using the verb to want with the five singular
subject pronouns
2. New letters ‫د – ر‬
3. Introducing the conjugation of the verb want in its singular form
4. Adding the letters ‫ ر – د‬to the group of letters that are joined only to the letters on their right
5. More usage of the classroom objects by using them with the verb want .
Materials :
1. Board
2. Handouts
Standards:
1.2. Students understand and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics.
3.1 Students reinforce their knowledge of other disciplines through the foreign language students
demonstrate.
4.1understanding of the nature of language through comparisons of the language studied and their
own
Procedures:
1. Warm up: Reviewing the classroom objects orally
2. Introducing the two letters : ‫ ر – د‬and their sounds d and r
3. Focusing on how they are joined in words: joined to the letters on their right , but not on their
left :
‫ أ ريد‬- ‫ برد‬- ‫ ورد‬- ‫ دب‬4. Introducing the conjugation of verb to want with the five singular pronouns
‫أن ا أريد‬
‫هــو يريد‬
‫هــي تريد‬
‫أنت تريد‬
‫أنت تريدين‬
5. We will read the five forms of the verb and write them circling the prefixes and suffixes added to
change the conjugation . This will be done through an activity that will be done in class and we
will stress on the reading of the words while doing the activity .
6. We will use the classroom objects while doing the activity.
Closure :
Five students will be chosen and one of them will go to person and say I want a ( any of the classroom
objects) the person who will give the object will say “ You want the ……” then he or she will give her the
object and say Tafadali ) . One of the five will point to the person and say she \he wants a ……. .
Homework: A work sheet as a practice on these objects , the conjugation of the new verb and the new
letters as well as previous ones .
