11th Annual Saskatchewan Nurse Practitioner Conference & AGM’s
April 30 – May 1, 2015 Travelodge Hotel Saskatoon Saskatoon, SK
Registration Package
Health Care in the 21st Century featuring keynote speaker Dr. Brian Goldman, radio show host and best‐selling author Saskatchewan Nurse Practitioner Conference
This annual conference hosted by the Nurse Practitioners of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners is the only conference in Saskatchewan that focuses on the nurse practitioner and their learning needs. The conference provides opportunity for professional development and education as well as networking with other nurse practitioners, health care professionals and suppliers. Each host organization also holds their annual AGM’s over the course of the conference. The Nurse Practitioners of Saskatchewan’s (NPOS) primary purpose is to raise awareness of the NP role. They are a Professional Practice Group (PPG) of the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) and work closely with the SRNA on practice and regulatory issues affecting NPs. The Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners (SANP) is a non‐profit, professional organization that promotes and advances the NP role in Saskatchewan with the goal of improving the health of the province’s residents. They work in partnership with key stakeholders to increase awareness of the NP role, and to influence legislation, regulation and policy. Our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Brian Goldman Brian Goldman, MD, is one of those rare individuals with great success in not one but several adrenaline‐
pumping careers. Goldman is a highly regarded emergency physician at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. He is also the host of the award‐winning radio show “White Coat, Black Art”, where he takes listeners behind the scenes of hospitals and doctor’s offices. Goldman is on a lifelong campaign to confront medical errors and create a culture of safety for patients and is author of the bestselling book The Night Shift: Real Life in the ER. Conference Agenda
