THE REPORT
on the efficay of using DETA-AR and DETA-Ritm medical devices in the
integrated treatment of children-teenagers with helicobacter infection
The research objective was the efficacy estimate of the integrated
treatment of juvenile age children, students of Specialised Secondary Educational
Establishment, with chronic diseases of gastroduodenal system, associated with
Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection with the application of DETA-AR and DETARitm medical devices.
18 teenagers at the age of 15 to 18 years old with chronic gastroduodenitis
were under our supervision. Diagnoses have been confirmed by the clinical and
endoscopic (fibrogastroduodenoscopy) research methods. Hp-diagnostics is based
on the estimate of urease potency in biopsy specimen taken from antra-pyloric
region of the stomach: the rapid urease test – HELPIL - test.
Children-teenagers have been divided into 3 equivalent groups depending
on the treatment modalities. The first group consisted of 6 teenagers who received
the treatment using the traditional conventional methods of Hp eradication in
accordance with the protocols and standards. So-called seven-day “triple therapy”
consisted of De-Nol/nexium (esomeprazole), amoxicillin/flemoxin solutab and
makmiror (nifuratel)/furazolidone. The second group also consisting of 6 teenagers
received the seven-day treatment together with the triple therapy from DETA-AR
and DETA-ritm medical devices. The third group of teenagers with chronic
gastroduodenitis and confirmed HELPIL-test infected with Hp-infection in amount
of 6 persons received the seven-day treatment with the application of DETA-AR
and DETA-Ritm medical devices only.
Evaluation criterion of the treatment efficacy was the clinical data,
endoscopic and biochemical data in particular modification of urease test HELPIL-test.
As the table shows the positive trend of clinical, endoscopic and
biochemical data is revealed in all groups. Hp Eradication amounted to 83.3% - in
the first group, 100% - in the second group, 83.3% in the third group.
Therefore the conducted research gives evidence of high efficacy of the treatment
of juvenile age children with chronic gastroduodenitis with the application of
integrated treatment by DETA-AR and DETA-Ritm medical apparatus. Teenagers
from the third group received only apparatus treatment without using
pharmacological medication (triple therapy), but all the same the treatment efficacy
turned out to be comparable to the first group teenagers who received seven-day
chemotherapy in accordance with the protocols (standards of administering
medical aid when gastroduodenitis with the confirmed Hp infection).
