We are happy to announce the first course dedicated
to diseases of the pleura. Pleural disease is common
and frequently difficult to manage well. This course is
aimed at practising clinicians: both trainees and
consultants.
The international faculty will bring together the most
recent research with the experience of practicing
clinicians from around the world to bear on this rapidly
evolving area of respiratory medicine. It will explore
common problems encountered in treating pleural
disease.
The sessions are designed to be interactive and will
maximise the opportunity for group discussion
informed by the latest research and ideas about
pleural disease.
The course programme will discuss pleural disease
from basic diagnostic methods to controversies in
management of infection, malignancy and
pneumothorax.
