JOB DESCRIPTION Assistant Accountant Prime Function To assist with the financial operations of the ADInstruments Europe office. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the maintenance and management of accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers. Processing, payment and recording of accounts payable. Preparation and recording of customer invoices. Manage sales order entries and inventory accounting. Responsible for cash postings and bank reconciliation. Process intercompany transactions. Recording, checking the correctness of, and processing reimbursement claims. Liaise with suppliers and resolve any issues that may arise. Support the credit control function. Support the preparation of monthly European payrolls. Manage company insurance policies. Assist with VAT and other tax compliance. Daily monitoring of cash and transactions recorded directly in the bank. Other related tasks as required. Financial reporting is accurate and timely. All group-wide accounting procedures and controls are adhered to and implemented. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy. Person Specification A graduate, or qualified AAT, who is studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with at least two years relevant experience, preferably in the technology sector. Intermediate MS Excel skills and high accuracy with data entry. A high level of computer competency. Knowledge of NetSuite is desirable. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy. Ability to see a delegated task through from inception to completion. A high level of initiative. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to exercise sound judgement. Excellent organisational skills such as time management and prioritising. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Location This is an Assistant Accountant position based in the Oxford, UK office.
