Урок по теме «Parties» в 5 классе по УМК М.З Биболетовой, О.А.
Денисенко «Английский с удовольствием»
Цель урока: развитие
коммуникативных способностей учащихся, умения
монологического высказывания, развитие творческих способностей учеников,
формирование навыков самостоятельной работы и работы в группе.
Задачи:
Образовательные: формирование лексических, грамматических навыков, навыков
устной речи по теме, формирование общеучебных умений (умений работать во
времени в парах и группах, вырабатывать темп учебной работы), а также
совершенствование произносительных навыков.
Развивающие:
развитие
аудитивных
навыков,
навыков
связанного
монологического высказывания, развитие мышления и памяти, развитие
познавательного интереса к предмету при помощи разнообразных форм работы.
Воспитательные: воспитание культуры общения, стремления к образованию.
Оснащение урока: учебник английского языка для 5 класса М.З. Биболетова, О.А.
Денисенко «Английский с удовольствием», распечатки рифмовки из книги Carolyn
Graham «Jazz chants», кроссворд, выполненный в программе «Hot potatoes», экран,
проектор, магнитофон, ксерокопии учебного материала.
Формы работы: фронтальная, индивидуальная, в парах, групповая
ХОД УРОКА
I. Организационный момент
Teacher: Good morning, pupils. I'm glad to see you. Take your seats. How are you today?
P1: I;m fine, and you?
Teacher: I’m fine too, thank you. Today we’re going to talk about parties. We’re going to
work with section 6 from unit 3. What shall we do during our lesson? We’ll brainstorm
our ideas about parties, talk about Julia’s party and your last birthdays, talk about your
favourite food, drink and activity at the party, listen to a new chant by Caroline Graham,
we’re know about British favourite sweets, sandwiches, make a shopping list and solve a
crossword. As usually you’re going to work in pairs and in teams.
II. Warming-up, brainstorming ideas.
Teacher: Let’s start. As you know the theme of our lesson is “Parties”. When do we have
parties?

Pupil 1: When we celebrate something.
Teacher: You’re quite right. What can we celebrate?
Pupil 2: Birthdays, holidays
Pupil 3: Special occasions
Teacher: Very nice, indeed, we have parties when we celebrate our birthdays, holidays or
mark any special occasions. Now, please, look at the blackboard and brainstorm your
ideas. Think about your associations with the word “Parties”.

III. Grammar revision and vocabulary practice
Teacher: Excellent work! As you see, we do a lot at parties: eat, play different games.
Now let’s see what Julia and her guests did at the party. Open your books at page 122 ,
we’ll work with ex. 125. By the way, what tense do we use to talk about the past.
How do we form it?
(Учащиеся вспоминают правила образования и употребления простого прошедшего
времени, делают записи на доске и в тетрадях. Выполняют № 125 с. 122).
Teacher: How do you think what did Julia celebrate?
P1. May be, she had a birthday party
P2. Perhaps, she celebrated a holiday, for example, Easter

Teacher: I liked your ideas. What did Julia do at the party?
P1: They had a barbecue in the garden
P2: They danced
P3: …….
Teacher: Well done, pupils. Now let's revise some more word to the topic «Parties”. I’d
like to divide you in three groups . Each group has its own task.
Group 1: create as many words denoting food as you can from the given words (pizza,
ham, cheese, meatballs, sausage, sandwich, egg, fish, tomatoes). Eg: cheese pizza etc.

Group 2: create as many drinks as you can from the given words ( carrot, apple, soft,
shake, strawberry, pear, cherry, pineapple, juice). Eg: carrot juice etc.
Group 3: think of activities you can do at the parties. Eg: play football etc.
(учащиеся работают в группах и составляют словосочетания из данных учителем
слов, затем обмениваются своими идеями).
Teacher: now, please, pupil say what food, drink or activity you’d like to have at your
party and why?
(учащиеся групп коллективно выбирают название любимой еды, напитка, игры и
объясняют свой выбор).
IV. Listening practice
Teacher: I’m happy to see you working like that. It’s time to sing! Let’s listen to a new
chant by Carolyn Graham. It’s about one of the most popular dishes at every party. Do you
know what dish it is?
P1. It’s pizza!
Teacher: That’s right! It’s pizza chant. We’re going to listen to it for the first time. Your
task is to write down words denoting food.
(Учащиеся прослушивают рифмовку и выписывают слова, обозначающие еду).
Teacher: Now, please, work in pairs and compare your lists of words. And let’s check
how many words you have heard.
(2 учащихся записывают слова на доску. Записавший больше слов, получает балл).
Teacher: Now let's listen to the chant and fill in the blanks in your handouts. (После
прослушивания. Приложение 2). Well, my dear friends, let‘s check your chants.
(Учащиеся по куплетам зачитывают рифмовку). Brilliant! And it’s time to sing the
whole chant together.
V. Speaking practice.
Teacher: You’re really working hard today. It’s time to talk about how you celebrated
your last birthday. Let’s do ex. 126 at page 123.
(Учащиеся по цепочке отвечают на вопросы).
Teacher: Good. Divide into teams. I’ll give you small sheets of paper with the names of
fairy-tales character. Imagine that this hero had a birthday party yesterday. Describe how

he celebrated it, what he did or played. Then you’ll read your texts and all the rest must
guess your character.
(Учащиеся образуют 3 группы и составляют рассказ о праздновании дня рождения
сказочными героями. Герои: Мэри Поппинс, Винни-Пух, Красная шапочка. Затем
зачитываютдругим 2 группам, а они отгадывают героя сказки.)
VI. Reading and writing practice.
Teacher: Well done! As you have just said we always prepare special food for our guests.
How do you think what a lot of people from English-speaking countries like to eat?
P2. Pizza.
P3. Sandwiches.
Teacher: That’s right. Now form another teams. Each team has scraps with sentences.
Team No. 1 has scraps about British favourite sweets and team No. 2 has scraps about
English sandwiches and English tea. Your task is to make up a whole text.
(Учащиеся получают листочки с предложениями из номеров 129 с. 124 и № 133 с.
125, восстанавливают последовательность предложений. Приложение 3). Are you
ready? Let's check. Read your texts.
(Учащиеся зачитывают тексты, далее делают краткий пересказ).
Teacher: Well, children, now you know what British people usually eat at parties, what
games they play. Just imagine you’ll have a party soon. Your English-speaking friend is
going to visit you. Make a shopping list of the dishes you’re going to cook and things you
need to buy.

Teacher: Good of you. I think your guests won’t be hungry and will have a good time.
We have some minutes. I’ve prepared a crossword for you. Let’s solve it. (Приложение

VII.
Sum-up and home task.
Teacher: I’m proud of the way you worked today. Today we’ve read a lot about parties
and preparations for them. (Выставление оценок).
Your hometask is to read a poem at page 126 ex. 137 and prepare it for test reading.
Don’t forget to write down new words in your vocabularies. Now answer a few questions.
