The chemical composition of extractive substances, which were extracted from hydrolysis lignin of Arkhangelsk hydrolysis plant was investigated. Separated extractive
substances were subjected to the saponification with alkali and following separation
onto saponified and unsaponified components. Separated compounds were analysed by
GC-MS. Prevalence of fatty and resin acids in extractives of hydrolysis lignin was
demonstrated. It was found that the dominating components of saponified fraction of
hydrolysis lignin extractive substances were palmitic acid, oleic acid, behenic acid and
lignoceric acid. Prevailing component of unsaponified fraction was dehydroabietic acid.
