2. After totaling the points for each device, identify which device has the
highest total and write 3 sentences that explain why you think this is the
most useful tool for mobile learning.
After totaling the points, I found that the smart phone has the most points. I believe
that this is the most effective piece of technology as just about everyone on the planet
has one. It is easy to use, and not always expensive to buy. I also believe that whether
you have a data plan to use or not you can still can connect to the internet (even if you
have Wi-Fi or not). I also find that it is totally personal, and definitely social as you can
go on social media sites, text or call your friends or family, and can take pictures.
3. Now identify which device has the lowest total and write 3 sentences that
explain why you think this is the least useful tool for mobile learning.
I found that the laptop had the lowest amount of points. I found this to be true,
because of the cost and mobility of the object. Although newer pieces of technology are
coming out, I still find that laptops are super expensive. There are all kinds of programs
that need to be purchased in order to use a laptop, and I find that to be unfair. I also
find the laptop to be a huge item to lug around. Although they are making new bags
and totes to lug around your laptop, they are a pain in the butt to carry around on your
shoulder. I do, however, find the laptop to be extremely personal as only one person
uses them at a time.
